Features - Blueprint Prefab System

  • Spawn, move and scale complete mountains
  • Non-destructive workflow using Unreal’s landscape sculpting system
  • Works with edit layers (modify the mountains with sculpt brushes)
  • Control which material layers to interact with for each BP prefab instance
  • 16 different mountain shapes
  • Each with 20 unique erosion masks
  • Both the mountain shapes and the erosion masks can be combined in multiple ways
  • Doesn’t consume extra performance during runtime (it is automatically baked down to the landscape height texture)

  • Versatile but easy to use Blueprint actor to spawn foliage or any type of instanced meshes

Technical details​

  • The material system uses a single master material, built using 15 material functions.

  • The Blueprint prefab system has 16 different mountains, each with a library of unique erosion masks (+300 textures).
  • An example scene is included representing a mountain environment from Iceland.
  • 5 different PBR materials are included (Iceland landscape example)

IMPORTANT PLUGIN REQUIREMENT:
For the Blueprint prefab system to work the Landscape Patch plugin must be enabled.
The example demo scenes require the HDRI Backdrop plugin.
The material system does NOT require any plugins to work.
